What is a CSA?

A CSA is like a farm membership, or subscription.  A few families will be in partnership with Hanson Family Farm, paying monthly dues for a share of the farm's production.

What are the benefits?

How does it work?

Farm products are divided into increments, or shares.  You put together the package that suits your family's needs, then pay a monthly fee, and pick up your items when they are ready.

What is offered?

Pasture Raised Pork

Standard Option
A full share is a half hog.  We are not able to offer half shares of pork.  The entire share will need to be picked up at one time.  The good news is that it is yours to use as you see fit, and you can decide which cuts to cook first!  There is something wonderful and reassuring about a freezer full of meat.  You can expect to receive 75 lbs of meat, in various cuts, plus fat for rendering lard if you desire, and you will be able to have a say in how you want your hog cut.  There is a non-refundable deposit of $100 to buy into the pork CSA.

Full share $32/month
*amount assumes 12 months of payments.  If pork processing occurs prior to 12 months of payments, balance will be due upon delivery.

Pickup/Delivery

We currently offer pick up on farm with prior arrangement, or at drop points.

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your membership for any reason at any time. The membership fee is non-refundable, as is the pork deposit.  You will not be refunded for delivered/picked-up items.
